Last month, the Gastech 2025 event in Milan gathered the energy industry’s finest to take the pulse of the market and provide a forum for critical industry insights and thought leadership. The event once again proved why Gastech remains one of the most important gatherings in the global energy world — a place where new ideas, technology, and sustainability meet face to face.
What stood out this year felt different. The talk wasn’t about what’s coming — it was about what’s already here. Companies aren’t treating data-driven decision-making, AI, or custom digital tools as “next steps” anymore. They have become the new normal. There is a stronger push than ever for collaboration between tech partners and energy leaders who want to improve operations, cut emissions, and adapt faster to change.
Everywhere we looked, the same themes emerged: smarter use of data, real AI adoption, and practical digital solutions. It was clear that energy organizations are moving away from rigid, one-size-fits-all platforms. They are searching for flexible software platforms, something built around their exact challenges in efficiency, compliance, and the shift to cleaner energy – all areas where Scalefocus delivers real results.
One of the highlights for us was joining forces with our partner tde, who continue to lead in sustainable, data-driven solutions. We were proud to showcase how our collaboration on modernizing their time-series data backbone drives innovation and efficiency across their entire product portfolio. For Scalefocus, this was a great moment to see our partnership in action.
This year’s Gastech brought together over a thousand exhibitors from more than 150 countries. Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia — all strongly represented — along with fast-growing markets like Türkiye, Egypt, and Nigeria. Compared to previous years, there was a much sharper focus on energy security, supply diversification, and digital innovation. It reflects the reality we all feel — that software, data, and AI aren’t side topics anymore. They’re right at the center of how the industry is reshaping itself for the future.
Visitors chatted with our team, explored new collaboration opportunities, and left with a piece of history from one of motorsport’s rising stars — Formula 3 Vice Champion Nikola Tsolov. Our special guest added turbocharged energy to the event, drawing crowds eager to meet him and get autographs, photos, and signed Nikola Tsolov and Red Bull merchandise.

What was most exciting was what happened after the event. The conversations we started there have already grown into real opportunities — not just handshakes but real next steps. We came back with a stronger understanding of how technology can create a measurable impact on the Energy & Utilities space.
More than anything, we returned inspired and focused — ready to turn ideas into results and keep connecting our software engineering expertise with the energy sector’s ongoing transformation.
