Having faced a constant growth of customer demand, Motivforce found, that it would be challenging to maintain its live B2B loyalty marketing incentive platform, when there was no documentation and best practices to follow. Motivforce had several IT teams scattered internationally, however it was still difficult to find sufficient resources to manage its platform amidst the expanding customer base.

The prolonged periods of search and onboarding processes for new consultants, in addition to the possibility of losing them in 6-12 months, led to Motivforce turning to ScaleFocus. The end goal for the project was to migrate Motivforce’s B2B loyalty marketing platform from Rackspace to Amazon Web Services (AWS). ScaleFocus was chosen to reconfigure and manage several internal systems as well as assist in the crucial preparation for Motivforce’s business-critical migration.

The B2B Loyalty Marketing Platform Improvement and Migration
The preparation for the migration involved the servicing and reconfiguration of 3 core panels in Motivforce’s platform – Administration, Engine, and Loyalty Program. The largest amount of effort was associated with the Administration Panel, which manages internal processes for Motivforce – new customer creation, administration of customer product catalogs, customer report creation etc. The entire panel was re-written from Angular.Js to Angular 8, in order to better fit in AWS.
The Engine Panel, responsible for sub-project management associated with Entities, Repositories, Banking etc. was also reconfigured. The last, Loyalty Program Panel, which is based on the open-source Umbraco CMS, was improved in order to enable the customers of Motivforce to manage their websites faster and provide better user experience. The work associated with this panel was mostly dedicated to reconfiguring from ASP.Net to .NET Core.
