ScaleFocus Supports Microsoft Imagine Cup 2014


For a second consecutive year ScaleFocus supports the world’s premier student technology competition – Microsoft Imagine Cup. This year’s local finals distinguished three Bulgarian teams to participate in the international finals of Microsoft Imagine Cup 2014 in July 2014 in Seattle, USA.

Teams are competing in three categories – Games, World Citizenship and Innovations with total prize of $1 million. The World Cup participants have the opportunity to improve their skills, get acquainted with renowned world experts and obtain inside knowledge on how to improve and implement their projects. The final winners will have the exceptional chance to meet personally one of the founders of Microsoft – Bill Gates.
The winners in Imagine Cup 2014 Bulgaria are Uictoribus (Innovations category) for their “Communication Simulator”, Will Bee (World Citizenship category) for “Edduel” project and For a Lack of Better Name team (Games category) with their educational project “Thralldom“. The three teams received their awards from Mr. Peter Ivanov, CEO of Microsoft Bulgaria and Mr. Lyubomir Georgiev, Project Manager in ScaleFocus.

Microsoft Imagine Cup is the world’s premier student technology competition. Over the past ten years, more than 1.65 million students from more than 190 countries have participated in the challenge. Joining the Imagine Cup community means sharing ideas, having fun, and be there when the next big thing is unveiled. In Bulgaria, the first edition was held in 2007, and in the last two years the interest is getting higher.
