What is DevOps?

As the name suggests – DevOps is a combination of Development and Operations that help improve an organization’s systems development process. It’s an engineering practice for software development that is focused more on the people and process of an organization, than the specific tools or technologies that the engineers choose to utilize.

It has a massive impact on the engineering culture of collaboration, ownership and accelerating the software development lifecycle from concept to production, consisting of Development, Testing, Deployment, Operations.

DevOps shortens the development lifecycle while delivering features, fixes and functionality frequently in close alignment with business objectives. Read more about DevOps here.

Why DevOps?

The market for DevOps specialists is huge and continues to develop dynamically with annual growth of nearly 20%.

83% of CTOs say that incorporating DevOps practices unlocks higher business value and mark a positive impact on their organization by reducing development time and increasing product quality.

This makes DevOps engineers highly sought after with attractive career opportunities.

Who is this course for?
